Charming 3 bedroom waterfront Canadian Cottage located only thirty minutes from downtown Ottawa, our nation's capital. The cottage is located on the shores of Lac Gauvreau in the quaint town of La Peche. La Peche is home of the famous Wakefield artisans community village. Wakefield Village is a Canadian favourite and attracts tourists from all over the world. The fully equipped cottage sleeps 6 adults comfortably and is ideal for 3 couples or an entire family. Two of the three bedrooms have double beds and the third room has a set of twin bunk beds. By June 1st, the swimming is usually great with a choice of swimming from the sandy beach area, to jumping off the large cedar dock. Maybe sooner if the weather keeps up. :) For the avid fisherman, the lake is full of large bass. We have been very successful fishing right off the dock. The dock has a built in live well which doubles as a built in beer cooler when not in use. Cottage rental includes access to both a canoe and two kayaks.
